Ganesha of Inner Shrine

This sculptural relief of Lord Ganesha draws upon the richly ornamented temple traditions of South India, with particular resonance to the intricacy associated with the Hoysala period. The composition is architecturally conceived, with the deity enshrined within a densely articulated framework of miniature figures, celestial attendants, and layered shrine motifs—evoking the visual language of temple sanctums rather than freestanding icons.

Ganesha is rendered in a composed frontal stance, his form anchored and meditative, offering a sense of stillness that contrasts with the surrounding profusion of detail.
